Beginning Paper Piecing and Beyond with Judy Scollay – April 28
Class Description:
Learn the basics of paper piecing with a very simple block. If you are the “Beyond” group, we will take the same block as the beginners (good review) and put the block into a small bag with a zipper and a lining. It is much easier than you think. Remember, this is supposed to be a fun no stress class. I will help you all to have success in this process.
Class supplies:
- Sewing machine in good working order with foot control and power cord
- Basic sewing kit including scissors, pins, seam ripper, washable glue stick (optional)
- Thread
- 6 ½” X 6 ½” square ruler
- Rotary cutter
- Small cutting mat
- Add a quarter ruler and a 3 X 5 card
Paper Piecing paper will provided for basic block
Those who have taken the basics class before can feel free to choose your own colors and also bring a 14” zipper (bag-sample in store), fusible batting (14” X 14”) and lining fabric (14” X 14”). The pattern is called “Two month Anniversary block”. Available at the store or online at Carol Doak’s facebook page. The pattern uses 6 colors.
