What is special about “Chrome” needles from Floriani? These are nickel needles that are dipped in an outer layer of chrome. The outer chrome layer does not conduct heat – so stabilizers don’t stick to these needles and they don’t heat up causing the burning smell some think is normal when sewing. The nickel core causes these needles to break into two pieces if/when they break, instead of shattering into many tiny pieces as titanium needles often do.

Tayva also keeps a pack of 90/14 stretch needles (don’t need to be chrome) for sewing Cuddle. They were not available when these needles were ordered or they would be included!
