What is the Brown Bag Mystery Experience!?!
When you purchase one of our Brown Bag Mystery Quilt Kits you are invited into the program. Beginning March 21st, you will receive a new "clue" to the mystery quilt every two weeks, with the 5th and final clue being the quilt reveal. Karen Montgomery, a well-published and highly regarded quilting teacher, will post video tutorials full of her tips and tricks - some of the BEST quilty education you can buy after each new clue is released. All clues are mailed to the address used for purchasing your kit. All clues are mailed on the SAME DAY across the country. Each clue will give you more information about what to cut and what to sew. The final clue is the reveal - how to sew all of the blocks together.
Every Brown Bag Mystery Quilt Kit is the SAME contents, different fabrics. Whether you purchase a kit from us or from another shop, ALL bags contain the following:
- 6.5 yards of fabric labeled A-F
- Brown Bag Mystery sew-in tag
- Welcome Letter with all of the dates and program information
SOME kits have an optional border bundled with the kit. Borders are not part of the Brown Bag Mystery, they are optional and may be added in many different ways. For the borders we added to some of our kits - we included enough border fabric to add mitered borders - a Karen Montgomery specialty!
