As a CaliQuiltCo Serger OWNER, you are invited to attend the following classes to learn more about your Elna/Janome Serger:

Project: Rayon Scarf
For this class series we will be using the Janome Air-Thread Serger Workbook (it is the same workbook whether you own an Elna or Janome), a 4-cone set of colored thread for all of our samples/lessons (Yellow, Blue, Red, Green), as well as a set of serger thread of your choosing. Tayva usually has a set of white thread on her machine. If you prefer cream or light gray etc, please bring thread you like and use. We will discuss thread for future months at the first class so you can plan those projects.
The workbook is expensive but 100% worth the investment. If you do not already own the workbook, the MSRP is $65 and we are selling it to our owners for $50. You are welcome to look at a workbook before purchasing. The workbook walks you through each setting for each stitch type, and stitching each sample with the four different colors of threads helps to visually see the changes and to see what and how to change to adjust each stitch to your liking. As we learn each setting, we will stitch samples that you can save and create a "Stitch Sampler," or you may choose to keep the samples in your workbook with each page.
At the end of this series we will discuss ongoing Serger Classes where we can learn additional add-on feet and accessories as well as explore other projects. This series will repeat again in (Spring) 2027. As long as you attend the FIRST CLASS, you are welcome to skip and attend the additional classes as your schedule permits. The first class is required because we cover the overview and machine basics.
As a CaliQuiltCo Owner, we provide this class series at no cost to you - machine education is INCLUDED with purchase! When you load these classes into your cart you will see that $50 is deducted for each class (limit one per person). When there is an additional charge, it is for the swatches or fabric used during class. Please watch for a supplies email for each class so that you bring the necessary fabric/supplies or plan to purchase a project kit at class.
