Come sew the cutest Tiny Tote Bag using Splash Fabric! These darling little bags are perfect for gift cards, chocolates, and other small special items. They would make adorable Christmas gifts. “The youth” 😂 hang these kind of items from their backpacks and purses. Little ones can use the tote for their dolls. Beginning to Advanced Sewists are welcome. You will complete at least one tote, but probably more!
Finished dimensions are approximately 4 ¼” wide x 3” tall (excluding handles).
Supplies:
Main fabric – ¼ yard or large scraps of Splash Fabric, Contrast fabric– ¼ yard or large scraps of Splash Fabric, sewing machine, thread, scissors, clips, straight edge, Schmetz NonStick needle size 80/12. A snap kit is optional (like Kam Snaps). Also optional: 1” O rings, small carabiners, and/or small swivel clasp hooks.
*** Please have the fabric for one bag cut out BEFORE class. We will start sewing TOGETHER as a group for the first bag. Please be considerate of your fellow sewists and be prepared.
Fabric Cuts
Body/Lining – 2 pieces main fabric, 4 ¾” wide x 6” tall
Pocket – 2 pieces main fabric, 1 ¾” wide x 3” tall
Bottom – 2 pieces contrast fabric, 4 ¾” wide x 2” tall
Straps – 2 pieces contrast fabric, 1 ½” wide x 8 ½” tall
